"Positive: The motel was easy to find and to access. The owner was onsite at the time of our arrival. He was very helpful with what was open on a Monday night for dinner. We had a problem with the light in our bathroom when I reported it we were offered another room straight away. I asked that it be fixed as we had unpacked our vehicle and it was fixed straight away. It was a chilly night and the room was warm so we didn’t notice until we walked outside. The owners take great pride in their establishment and everything is clean. Even no mold in the shower! I think that has to be a first for me. I asked about walking tracks and was directed to the ones directly behind the motel along the river. We then walked into the town and purchased take away. Knives and forks in the room allowed us to be able to eat it in comfort. Oh not to forget the complimentary Tim Tams just great with a cuppa after dinner. Would definitely recommend this motel to all I talk to and anyone looking to stay in Inverell. Negative: Nothing, I couldn’t find fault with the room or the establishment it was great. The owner told me he traveled for his previous employment and it shows in the attention to detail."

"Our stay at Cousins Motor Inn was awesome. The room was clean, spacious & had everything we needed & the beds were comfortable & microwave was an added bonus. The owners were exceptionally friendly & welcoming & nothing was a bother. The shops were nice & close & so if visiting Inverell we highly recommend to stay at Cousins Motor Inn every time , we definitely will be."

"This is the best motel I’ve ever stayed in! It was nicer inside than many hotels. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Plus their dog was always ready for a cuddle! I highly recommend this motel and will definitely return in the future."

"Very quick check-in, clear instructions given, easy to find on the main road but not too loud from passing traffic. Bed and pillows were very comfy, extremely clean with small kitchenette offering toaster, kettle, 2 bowls, plates, mugs, glasses, wine glasses, tea/coffee/hot chocolate and fresh milk. Microwave, small table and chairs with a comfy sofa. Perfect for easy self catering, could stay a week easily. Lovely stay, thank you!!"

"We have utilised this establishment on several occasions now and have found it to be exceptional on every occasion. Far enough out of town to be safe and peaceful, walking distance to Sporties , or even into town itself, but most places have a courtesy bus these days, so leave the car safely behind. Rooms are neat, tidy and clean, with tea and coffee making facilities, and even Tam-tams as their free biscuit of choice. Great value, wonderfully friendly staff, and resident hound is an added attraction, and very friendly too. A great place to stop and recharge, and Inverell is such a pretty little town, fantastic Federation buildings to photograph, and the heart of Australian Sapphire country, so maybe even a gemstone bargain also to remember your visit. "

This is the second time I have stayed at Cousins Motor Inn. The management are very friendly and helpful, the room was super clean and comfortable with everything you need - even down to a hot chocolate and a TimTam!

This is a classic locally-owned country hotel. The room was spotlessly clean and came with a microwave, toaster, kettle and crockery, which would be very useful for a longer stay.

We had in-room breakfast which was HOT when it arrived, so many times we've had tepid service and tasty.

In room bar had some wine and snacks, which was welcome after a long day out.

Would definitely visit again.

We were in Inverell for one night and from the moment we arrived after a long trip in pouring rain, Garry and Liz looked after us. Their warm and friendly welcome, offer of drinks for the stay was exceeded by providing dinner at last minute request when we couldn't go out. The lamb shanks were amazing! The next morning breakfast was huge, it was met with a smile and greeting from their family pet. The room and facilities were clean and more than ample, but it was the country service and chat that will be remembered.
